Too much waxing, now my eyebrows are at a standstill! No growth!?

I got my eyebrows waxed once a month for about 3 years. I never noticed how thin and short they were. Now it's totally obvious. I love the thick eyebrow thing that's going on right now, but mine just will not grow. You can't tell me that it just takes a long time because I've been trying to grow my eyebrows for about 2 years and there's just no hope. I've tried those eyebrow serums and it sorta worked, but not where I wanted them to grow. They are not growing right above my eyes. They've been waxed too far in, I guess. Please! Someone help!Too much waxing, now my eyebrows are at a standstill! No growth!?
i wish there was some magic pill or lotion that would make your hair grow back, but unfortunately, there's really nothing you can do. i'm afraid you MIGHT be stuck with them.

hair can take a good waxing and still grow back thick (trust me, i've got eyebrows right now to prove it). however, after years and years of ripping your hair out, the follicle could just be completely gone at this point. pulling your hair out over an extended period of time KILLS the follicle, preventing hair from growing there ever again. depending on the texture of your eyebrows, they could still grow back eventually, but they could quite possible be ruined.

thicker, courser, darker hair can usually handle a bit more waxing than fine, thin, lighter hair. i've been waxing my eyebrows for YEARS and i still have to pluck in between my weekly waxing appointments to clean up the randoms. however, they don't grow in everywhere, and i get bald spots where the hair just doesn't grow anymore.

a friend of mine (she actually works with me) got her eyebrows done somewhere else and they messed them up ONE TIME (made them too short), and it still hasn't grown back (this was almost a year ago). her eyebrows are light and fine (so is her hair). mine are dark and course.

so unfortunately, as far as i'm concerned, your eyebrows could just be as grown in as they're gonne get, especially if you've been waiting 2 years and they still haven't come in.

filling them in is an option, just to make them flatter your face more. everyone should fill in their eyebrows, regardless of if they're messed up or not.

another friend of mine (who also works with me) used to go crazy plucking her eyebrows when she was in high school and hers never grew back. she ended up getting them tattooed, and honestly, you would never know that they're tattooed. hers look very natural. i'm sure it depends on where you go, but there are ways to make it look good.
