I want to start waxing my eyebrows, but my mom won't let me?

Okay, so I'm 12. I will be 13 in less than 15 days.


I have coarse, thick, bushy eyebrows. I feel really self conscious about them, and people even make fun of me because of them.


I've asked my mom numerous times, but she won't let me. She says ';It'll make you look old and you're only a kid.';


I can't pluck them. I barely even have an eyebrow shape anymore!


What should I do? How should I convince my mom to let me?

tell your mom you don't want them thin like stars %26amp; stuff cause that's a little too much


ask her if u could just let the person waxing you 2 clean the bottom and shape the top


i was 13 when i started waxing so yea :P i think you should it comes a time when girls should start doing this kind of stuff not over the top

Eyebrows are a funny thing, you have to be very careful with shaping them. I can understand your predicament though teasing from others can be cruel and hurtful. I wouldn't wax though. This takes practice and there's a lot of room for mistakes. As a birthday gift maybe your mom will take you to a salon and your mom can request something appropriate for your age. If anything try to compromise and suggest if she can help you pluck a few stray hairs and maybe over the summer try the salon. Never shave your eyebrows! I know 2 women that did this as teens and their eyebrows never grew back and now they have to pencil them in everyday. Good luck!
Ok, so your Mom is right, however maybe you both can compromise and have it done one time professionally. At your age you should be having fun and focusing on your school work. People who make fun of you are just snobs who don't have the sense to find shelter in a hail storm. They are not the brightest bulb in the pack. So focus on your future and how your going to achieve it, even if it is health and beauty.
Yeah i know same here!. Im 12 and my mom wont let me go to the salon and pluck them with a string. Haha i dont know the word.. But my eyebrows are the bushiest and thinkest i have ever seen. People always make fun of me and im sick of it. :( Plz answer my question!

simply ask her how she would feel if she got made fun of? you could always get them threaded

that stinks. did you try telling her that people make fun of you? i think she would change her mind if she realized that its affecting more than your appearance. hope this helps good luck!
