I'm fifteen and wax my eyebrows, I think you should just tell her. Let her know that's what you want. For your upper lip though, I would recommend bleaching the hair on your upper lip. Age really has nothing to do with it, and ';need to'; is a relative term. Women tend to be very harsh when they look in the mirror, so your brows and lips might not be as bad off as you think.


What your mom needs to know is that you've thought this through, and that you're doing it for the right reasons. Don't do it because the fashion magazine told you to do it, or because some mean popular girl made fun of you, or to impress some hot guy. Do it because you want to meet your potential and increase your self-confidence.


Ask your mom to visit the salon with you, and have the beautician show you exactly how she will shape your brows BEFORE she does it. Explain that you just want to ';clean up'; and ';trim'; the brows, not wittle them down to a miniscule, high maintenance line.
I doubt that she will say no to the upper lip thing, and there are many ways to remove the hair from there. You don't necessarily have to wax, they make creams that will remove it and also trimmers that will trim it off. whatever you use, see if you can find an after hair removal cream to put there because hair removal does irritate your skin.


She will be more likely to say no to waxing your eyebrows. Just talk to her about it. She may let you go ahead and wax them, but if not she may let you tweeze to start off with, because waxing removes a lot more hair than just tweezing, even though tweezing can be more tedious. Just tell her the look you are trying to go for with your eyebrows and see what she says
yea thats a good age,but like jut tell your mom why you think you might need it don't be whiney or anything just tell her this will make you feel more comfortable, don't be nervous just be calm and if she says no then maybe you can suggest another option like bying wax and having her do it or having her come with .you good luck
first off just ask her and dont be afraid because shes ur mom so she like cant yell at you for asking a question

i do my eyebrows all the time and when i was young ma mom did them for me and would take me to get them done so dont worry

just tel her i would really like it because the hair and ungroomed brows bother me personnally..not just because others dont have it. make it a self esteem issue. never pull the [ all my friends moms let them] that only pisses them off way MORE!

You are fine the way you are, enjoy being 16. Nothing looks worse than when girls remove most of their eyebrows and pencil in something that looks really stupid. Focus on other things in your life, you are fine the way God made you.
