Getting my eyebrows waxed for the first time (Male)?

I'm getting eyebrows waxed for the first time sometime next week. I'm a guy and never have been to a salon like this before. What I'm curious is to how should I ask for them to look? I don't want them to look girly just clean. Can I have it waxed similar to a picture I've seen or does she wax it to how my eyebrows are shaped? tell them you just want the strays gone.. leave them thick though.. guys with thin eyebrows are kinda creepy lol.
Take the picture with you. I think it is great that you are doing this for yourself. Don't let anyone tell you it is ';gay';. Anything that bothers you on your body that you can improve, do it. I would just like to be there to watch. LOL

I'm really glad that ur going to a salon,most guys don't have the guts. Yes,u can give her the picture,and I'm sure that she'll try her best to make it look nice. Instead of waxing maybe u would be better of threading. Threading is almost painless and they don't leave those red marks.=] But only some salons do that. Good Luck=]
tell her that you want them thick! like guys eyebrows should be!! i hate guys with thin eyebrows!
ask for them to look as natural as possible. bring in the picture its a good idea too.
just tell her you want to clean them up not reshape and make sure you mention not too thin just clean up because they tend to get a bot carried away good luck :)

If you have darker hair growing between your eyebrows then you may want the tech to address this. If you do not want this taken out, then tell her to leave that space alone. Otherwise she will probably assume you want this area waxed even if it is only peach fuzz. Second, when they wax your eyebrows they will trim all the really long hairs as well. Tell the tech you want you eyebrows waxed in a way that will accent your features and not look shaped. She wll understand and respect your wishes. As for all the people calling it gay, do not listen to them. My husband is infantry and is home for two weeks r and r and he is getting a pedicure to get his feet in better condition before he goes back to Iraq and getting his eyebrows done as well. Taking proper care of personal grooming is a show of maturity, much more than all this name calling. In other countries, men's eyebrows are included as part of a haircut. Methods used are waxing and threading. So unless the majority of men in other part of the world are ';gay';, do not worry about what the nay sayers thing.
